The United Nations’ special envoy to Libya has met with the leaders of different warring factions in an attempt to end the bloody conflict in the North African country.
Bernardino Leon called for a temporary freeze of clashes in Libya following his meeting with General Khalifa Hafter, the head of forces loyal to the country’s internationally recognized government, and the commanders of anti-government militants in the capital, Tripoli, on Friday.
