Many years ago, the Airport tower controllers went out on strike… The then president, I think it might have been Reagan, FIRED all of them and then new people were rehired and it got the airports operating again… Do you think this existing POTUS has the spine to do the same with this situation? Those of you that have jobs, at any level in industry and retail had better hope so… The companies and jobs that are dependent in offshore supply will have to start laying folks off and maybe even closing their operations… BUT, OB is too concerned with trying to prove Islam is Peace, going golfing, on horrendously expensive vacations and pulling this country down to third world status so his illegals will feel more at home, that I doubt he will do anything positive with this dock workers mess… Just watch! You may say I am nuts, but I have watched this same scenario in the past, corrected by a POTUS that knew the consequences of inaction… That POTUS fixed it, no matter how much the airport people screamed, He put the welfare of the country and the majority FIRST… THIS POTUS,,, not likely… Have a nice day…

The PMA is the employer’s union controlled by very wealthy foreign ship owners who are use to getting their way all around the world. They are choosing to not fill the jobs and work the ships. The ILWU are the longshoreman and they are not on strike.

I had to close down my business because I could not afford the insurance to cover my employees in case of injury which my insurance company said I had to have. Ok so along with x amt of others closing their business for the exact same reason across the country who is getting jobs? The lawyers have made any under the table trade almost impossible and many people are totally scammers and sue happy. If the millionaires that own these boats, the unions that own the workers yes you are merely a slave to most mafia unions, and the truckers union or independent can not get it together than call me I’ve had tons of experience in human/work relations and the red trap uh tape. Or call the federal government if they can find all those undocumented now green card holding illegals with drivers license I am sure they will work! Think maybe this is just creating another situation to jack up prices and cause fear, who cares, stop buying imported crapola, eat less, grow more, start your own huge farms buying up as much land as possible, create a commune, the global world market is the downfall of the entire system and as well as the spread of disease and dangerous bugs, fungus etc, the real answer is local control, local laws, local economy, and less is best!

The people to blame for this is the shipping companies refusal to negotiate in good faith with the union that represents the workers on those docks. The $150,000 salaries are only for the senior members who are involved with dispatch – not the average dock worker on the dock itself.
This is a disaster created by the wealthy interests to destroy the last remaining strongholds that American Union workers have in America.
In 1983, Ronald Reagan Illegally fired the PATCO strikers. It was not out of “public safety,” but to break the backs of Union workers in America. And American workers have been steady loosing ever since.

The west coast port closures may be part of the Zionist plans for chaos this summer. The fast tracking of the Trans-Pacific Partnership is the key to the ports problems. But as usual the people who work the docks get blamed. If anybody ever worked the docks, as I do, they would stfu. But I do not work on the west coast. If could very well spread. It’s all about the Endgame.
There are no “must haves” that come into West Coast ports.

what is not mentioned that most of these workers will be out of jobs in a few years…. replaced by robots and other AI machines…. this is pretty much their last shot at getting a going away raise… say good bye to some of the last high paying jobs in America…
