The [National Weather Service] forecast for Harford County is bitter cold temperatures overnight, dropping below zero throughout most of the county. With the wind chill factor, temperatures will feel like 20 degrees below zero. If going outdoors, please dress in layers and cover exposed skin as much as possible. Frostbite and hypothermia are major health risks during extremely cold weather.
The Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association also relayed this message from emergency management Thursday: “…anyone that is outside needs to be extremely careful; exposed skin during these extreme cold conditions can cause frostbite within 30 minutes. Please limit your exposure and dress appropriately. Thanks and be safe!!” Bundle up, covering exposed skin, and be sure to bundle your pets too. File Photo.
