Social Media crimes is on the rise. People go crazy and believe that their information is protected. Think again before doing something as weird as these 10 things. The focus here is on Facebook, the largest social networking platform in the world:
Adam Dunn was not too happy with his ex-wife Lisa and her passive-aggressive Facebook posts about his lack of child support payments. One day, he decided to cut the passive and go straight for the aggressive. One evening, he beat her with a hammer and then slashed her neck. Then he left her body for the couple’s five-year-old son to discover the next day. Dunn has been sentenced to 24 years in jail with no chance of parole.
16-year-old Raphael Ward was shot and killed for refusing to hand over his jacket to a masked mugger in New York City. He was able to predict his death on Facebook hours before it took place. Under his Facebook pseudonym ‘BloccBoy Tokyo’, Ward posted a simple message “I’m dead”. Was it a coincidence? Before he died, Ward stumbled into a nearby convenience store and told workers he’d been assaulted by a gang of people who wanted his jacket.
Ramazan Acar from Australia announcd on his Facebook profile that he was about to kill his daughters, just moments before stabbing his 2-year-old daughter Yazmina to death in 2009. The 24-year-old father pleaded guilty in a Melbourne court for killing his daughter as”pay[back]” against the girl’s mother, Rachelle D’Argent.
A young dad named Merrick McKoy shared a heart-felt picture of him and his daughter pouting at the camera, but moments later he allegedly shot her in the head as revenge on the girl’s mother! He documented the series of events by posting a series of creepy Facebook statuses. He later tried to commit suicide, but failed.
Torrie Lynn Emery’s ongoing Facebook issues with Danielle Booth went from bad to worse during a heated encounter at McDonald’s. The encounter resulted in a high-speed car chase with Emery ramming her car repeatedly into a vehicle that Booth was a passenger in 2010. After running a red light, the car carrying Booth was hit by a dump truck, leaving her in critical condition and killing driver Alesha Abernathy. Reports claim their personal issues stemmed from being romantically linked to the same man in prison. Sounds like a case of extreme road rage or just social media frenzy.
