SunentersPis2-18-2015WRIGC11

This zodiacal month begins with an incredible Sun-Moon conjunction, along with Neptune in dominion and Venus, Mars, and Chiron all in the Pisces sign! Mars quickly moves to Aries after the Sun’s ingress, but Neptune’s visions, diffuse and watery inspiration, and nebulous idealism set the tone for this month.

What a busy time this has been for my developing astrological practice…I’m currently writing a weekly horoscope that can potentially reach a million people (although the actual number reached is much smaller), my Facebook page is approaching 5000 likes, readings are becoming more regular, and my various ideas for articles are also picking up steam (keep your fingers crossed for me regarding my latest submission!). I have also recently been added as an agent with Cosmic Intelligence Agency. Agent 0720 reporting for duty! C*I*A is awesome and its Facebook page has great articles and posts about astrology.

Anyhow, I like to keep my newsletters more about the transits than myself. Mars (application of energy in the form of action) and Neptune (the ideal, illusive, and imaginary) [credit to Ricki Reeves for keyphrases] clash in the transits this month. Mars is strong in his home sign, Aries. Neptune in Pisces (his home sign) is very much about the end. Cycles wind down and close under the Pisces influence, heavily emphasized this month with Sun in Pisces. Yet Mars is a very initiating influence. Mars in Aries is fiery, active, willful, and likes to start projects and take action. So we have a heavy difference of opinion between Mars and Neptune this month! A reminder that just as all cycles must end, one purpose of endings is to make way for fresh cycles. We can experience this phenomenon within minutes or even seconds, and our entire lives are also symbols of a cycle that must end, yet we also must have faith that our lives are part of some larger, and abstruse, cycle. A poignant lesson from Neptune.

I have the usual topics this month, and when Sun enters Pisces, I like to write a short ancillary paragraph or two regarding the Pisces energy, partly because I have Moon in Pisces. (Pisces Moon’s primary emotional need is a longing for the source, and I’ve keenly felt the Pisces energy manifesting at times. Hopefully I will be able to relate the experiences partially through words.)

Spirituality

Spirituality is an apropos beginning topic for Pisces. This is an interesting month for Neptune. He has quite a long transit through Pisces, and this year with Sun in Pisces Neptune makes an aspect to Kronos (Transneptunian). Additionally Saturn is squaring Neptune this month. Hence, the “spiritual authority” concept is vivid this month. Spiritual advisers, church services, religious ceremonies, and priests, ministers, and preachers all have greater than average influence this month based on the transits. Based on your interest in developing spirituality, seriously considering how following religious ritual and structure, responding to various spiritual authorities (formally in person, or via books and other media), and creating disciplined methods for developing spiritual awareness are relevant topics this month. March 1 to March 3 is a powerful time frame for developing spiritual wisdom and seeking enlightenment based on Sun’s aspect to Poseidon (Transneptunian).

Jupiter becomes more influential in the middle of the month, especially around March 4. Sun and Pluto form a powerful yod with Jupiter at the focal point of the yod, with Mercury as the approximate outlet of the yod. “Conscious transformative spirituality” with an emphasis on religious texts and rituals is the theme at the middle of the month, with an outlet in unique thought and communication. This is also a minor symbol/subtheme of the massive, slow shift from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius…New Age type ideas and modes of spiritual expression manifest via thought and communication, or have the potential to, even with Neptune as a solid symbol of the current Age of Pisces exhibiting so much current influence.

Overall, quite a spiritual month, intersecting with Christianity’s preparation for Easter.

Relationships

Relationships are about the self as much as the other person, by definition! And this concept is front and center this month with Venus transiting into Aries. Venus moves from exaltation to detriment at the beginning of the month. Venus in Aries is an interesting placement for Venus. The planet of cooperation and collaboration is in Mars’ sign, manifesting the personal will, drive, and ambition of Aries. Additionally, Venus conjuncts Mars for most of the month, and Mars is much stronger by sign. This is not necessarily “bad” and in fact certain benefits can manifest via Venus in Aries, for example, asserting one’s self in a group setting, bringing personal ambition and goals to team settings, and personal energy and activity livening up relationships. Venus/Mars in Aries forms a grand trine with Juno and Saturn in the fire signs early in the month, with the strongest aspects around February 24. This fiery energy hopefully can be focused into the best of all worlds, with Mars’ personal ambition and energy acting as a lead player and complementing Venus’ collaboration, Juno’s relatedness, and Saturn’s structure combining to form productive accomplishments with other people.

Relationships have a Jupiter/Uranus type influence in the middle of the month, with Venus conjuncting Uranus and trining Jupiter to the degree on March 4. Some rough patches in relationships via Uranus’ unexpected shocks can be smoothed over by Jupiter’s optimism and abundance. Juno turns direct by the end of the month, but she lingers in early Sagittarius all month and forms an aspect to Saturn. Saturn’s imposition on relationships, therefore, is hopefully limited to a sense of necessary structure (and more likely to be so via a trine aspect).

Cupido (Transneptunian – clan, extended family, marriage) is relatively inactive this month, however, Cupido is close to conjuncting the Galactic Center, which is of great interest and certainly I will broach that topic as it occurs. Cupido-Galactic Center will last for almost two years, and definitely is a plus for interacting with married partners and other types of relationships.

Career

Mars in Aries is useful for using personal energy in an effort to accomplish, produce, be competitive, and reach a series of goals. Mars faces various challenges this month, even in his home sign. Neptune’s mutable qualities clashing with Mars’ initiative gives a sense of projects starting and progressing, but at times lacking direction and solid footing. Anger through misunderstandings is also possible, and even prominent, with the strong Mars-Neptune influence in the transits this month. Saturn lends a degree of stability at the beginning of the month to the Mars-Neptune clash. Mars hates to be controlled and restricted, so Saturn’s attempts at doing so can be problematic at times. Mars-Saturn, used well, gives the impression of progress through disciplined actions. The trine aspect probably encourages productive use of the two planets that tend to clash. Saturn-Neptune is problematic due to the tense square between the two, yet working hard to reconcile the two, with Saturn’s discipline and Neptune’s faith, offers the opportunity for making dreams (Neptune) a material reality (Saturn).

The workplace likely will feel more competitive and aggressive this month. Focusing on achievement, and cutting through Neptune’s fog by generating new ideas and using logic, appears necessary this month before Mercury’s ingress into Pisces around March 13. After March 13, creativity and adapting to various circumstances become more prominent as a way to succeed in the workplace.

Saturn is stationary and then he starts retrograding near the end of the month. One manifestation of Saturn retrograde is career ambition on overdrive, or career ambition taking a back seat for an extended period of time. Sun in Pisces is an opportunity to reflect on various parts of life, so Saturn going retrograde with Sun in Pisces is an opportunity to consider your current career path and how you might want to alter it, or think about how to move your current career path forward.

Finance

I’m not sure this month has any negative time windows for making purchases. February 25 to about March 6 is reasonably good for purchases with Mercury opposition Jupiter. Making purchases this month or signing contracts should be done with due diligence, however, with Neptune’s strong influence. Be certain that what you’re buying or signing is completely understood and agreeable to you, especially after March 12 when Mercury enters Pisces.

Sun in Pisces, anticipating a new zodiacal year with the Spring equinox, is an opportunity to “dream” about the kind of new ventures, sides businesses, and financial goals that might be of interest, and then activate them when Sun enters Aries. At this time, one way to approach this type of idea is to time it when a planet (especially Sun) is at zero degrees of a sign. Therefore early this month is an opportune time to plan for and implement actions that involve personal business and financial strategies.

All of that stated, this month is relatively average in matters of finance. A simple google search shows that of the world’s billionaires, the plurality have Sun in Virgo (sign opposite Pisces). The Forbes article didn’t state the rankings by sign, but Pisces was somewhere in the middle. You can read the article at http://www.forbes.com/2006/03/28/billionaires-horoscope-astrology-cz_lk_0328billyhoroscopes.html.

Happy solar return to friends with Sun in Pisces! See you next month…looking forward to the newsletter with Sun entering Aries, a more comprehensive look at the zodiacal year ahead.

Meanwhile my ancillary thoughts about the Pisces energy are below. Mike

Have you ever felt the Pisces energy? A friend leaves, or a family member dies…the inevitable end of a cycle. Pisces is the end of the zodiac, and a watery sign. The emotions we feel from endings are undeniable and very deep! And true to the Pisces energy, they require adjusting. But a certain strength from going through the Pisces type experiences comes from transcending our current selves and experiencing growth, although it can be painful.

The hope, courage, and freedom that accompanies the start of a new cycle (associated with the Aries energy) is a result of ending the old one. The wisdom and understanding we have gained from experiencing a full cycle makes the new ones more productive, encouraging, and purposeful.
