It seems likely that the burglar attempted a disarm, which failed.
A suspected burglar was shot in the hand Tuesday after a struggle with a neighbor who spotted him trying to break into a home, authorities said.
The suspected burglar, whose name was not released, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police on the scene said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment, while a second suspect with him who was not injured was taken into custody, Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Michael Ford said.
