Bank robber attempts to hold up bank with a spoon…and fails
A not-so-smart robber attempted to steal money from a bank in Weintraubengasse, Austria, Tuesday afternoon, but his plans were foiled when the bank employees realized they had nothing to fear from the suspect.
The 24-year-old man walked into the bank, went to the counter a demanded money just before 4:00 p.m. The man was carrying a spoon in his hand, which he apparently thought would be mistaken for a knife, but nobody in the bank took him seriously.
The teller acted as if she was going to grab some cash for the man, but instead called the police.
The man, who said he simply needed the money, sat patiently and waited for the police to arrive, after such time he was taken to jail.
