If you listen to Western mainstream media, you’d think Iran was some kind of backward, medieval state. Nothing could be further from the truth.

In the following video feature a reporter from Press TV investigates Iran’s vibrant skateboarding community. It shows a skate shop fully equipped with Western brands, along with home grown Iranian skating gear. The sanctions currently imposed on Iran have caused the prices of foreign products to skyrocket, so entrepreneurial, young Iranians have taken to making and selling their own boards.

With reports of the CIA planting false evidence in Iran and Netanyahu’s ridiculous warmongering, attempts to frame Iran as the enemy are slowly, but surely, falling apart. Politics aside, most Iranians are just like you or I, and simply want to live a happy life.
