Good morning folks. Here is an updated look at the visible solar disk on Thursday. Solar activity during the past 24 hours was low with only minor C-Class activity detected, including a C3.5 flare from just beyond the southeast limb at 09:47 UTC (March 5). Region 2292 looks to be in a state of decay as it approaches the west limb. Region 2293 is stable and non threatening. No Earth directed coronal mass ejections were observed during the past day. A potential active region just off the east limb produced a moderate M1.2 solar flare on Thursday peaking at 18:11 UTC. We will get a better look during the next 24 hours.
