McCain’s mean machine gearing up

(Before It's News)

Amid rampant speculation of potential congressional challengers to John McCain, it looks like a long shot that any of them will step up to the task. In fact, they are peeling off faster than a cheap auto paint job in the Phoenix sun.

Schweikert‘s officially out. Gosar won‘t take on the fight. Franks has no reason to give up the seat on which he has a lock, and it will be a shocker of monumental proportions if Salmon decides to run against John McCain.

None of these Arizona congressmen are willing to subject themselves and their families to the brutality of the McCain political apparatus, that relies on opposition research —- often with manufactured results —- to decimate challengers. Having access to money to wage such internecine battles is not a problem for one who has been in D.C. since what seems like the dawn of time —- 1983. On the other hand, six six-year terms is more than Arizonans should have to endure.

Enter a strong opponent. A woman and a family physician, two-term state Sen. Kelli Ward is considering contesting McCain. Dr./Sen. Ward is impressive, which is why the long knives of McCain’s surrogates are out early.

Moreover, she is not playing coy, but acknowledges her interest in mounting a challenge in this email to supporters: “By now, many of you have heard the rumors about my considering a run for the U.S. Senate,” Ward recently wrote. “Those rumors are, in fact, true. I am seriously considering a primary challenge to Senator John McCain in 2016.”

Over the weekend, McCain’s sycophant reporter at the daily newspaper delved into Ward’s potential challenge by interviewing a blustering McCain crony who diminished her as “not a viable candidate.”  The task at hand is to reconfigure McCain’s decades in D.C. as “experience” rather than an excessive, imperial overstay in the office that the nation’s Founders envisioned as a part-time job and not a decades-long career. Citizen legislators came to Washington a few weeks in the winter —- prior to planting season, since many were farmers —- and tend to the nation’s business before returning home to attend to their own.

McCain, who resides in an exclusive penthouse condo, is no farmer, but his knowledge of liberally spreading leftwing manure has earned him repeated censures from the elected Republican state and county committeeman who have had their fill of his RINO ways. (video under link.)  At the statutory meeting this past January, both John McCain and Jeff Flake were greeted with boos and turned backs, while other state committeemen walked out on their speeches. In retaliation, his operatives have worked diligently to purge the precinct committeeman rolls of conservatives.

Fearful of losing, he bought his last election by spending most of the nearly $30 million from the taxpayer-funded matching funds left in his presidential war chest to flood the Arizona market with advertising —- attracting low information voters, who recognize his name but are unfamiliar with his deceptive deeds.

McCain will celebrate his 80th birthday in 2016. Conservative Kelli Ward, 46, will be a welcome change.
