NEWTON, N.C. — The Claremont homeowner who shot and killed an intruder last month will not face any charges, according to a news release from the 25th Prosecutorial District Attorney’s Office.
Homeowner Bruce Fox was at his River Bend Road residence Feb. 23 when two intruders entered the house by kicking in a basement door. Fox fatally shot 47-year-old Vernon Bobby Dixon with a 12-gauge shotgun.
