Latest scheme to expand Dem voting bloc
On the campaign trail, Barack Obama vowed to “fundamentally transform America,” the most triumphant home of freedom and liberty on the planet.
His disturbing words were met with cheers by the ill-informed and poorly educated crowds. That irrational theme wasn’t just campaign rhetoric as we have seen through his imposition of radical leftist programs and policies that fly in the face of the Constitution since he first assumed office in Jan. 2009
Now he is hoisting the idea of mandatory voting in the U.S. Speaking in Cleveland Wednesday, Obama said voting should be a requirement. As an example, he pointed to Australia, where citizens must vote, regardless of their knowledge of the issues or desire to participate in the process.
“If everybody voted, then it would completely change the political map in this country,” Obama said, calling it “potentially transformative.” There’s no doubt about that. As millions of prospective Democrats flood the United States, it’s not difficult to see the underlying method to his madness.
Obama used the occasion to tell the gathering that universal voting would “counteract money more than anything.” Those are fascinating views from the man who, according to the Center for Responsive Politics and the Washington Post had a mammoth fundraising mechanism replete with Hollywood celebrities, top-level bundlers, major financial and healthcare institutions and leftwing bigwigs.
No longer a candidate, Obama appears to have developed a newfound revulsion for such influence. Acting as the hypocrite he is, Obama opposed Citizens United and other court rulings that cleared the way for super PACs and removed campaign spending limits, although he wholeheartedly embraced them in his 2012 re-election campaign.
In Cleveland, he said he thought it would be “fun” for the U.S. to consider amending the Constitution to change the role that money plays in the electoral system.
Obama’s recent executive actions open the door to enable millions of foreign nationals access to the valid forms of identification required to register to vote, increasing the probability that they would illegally register and participate in our elections. It does happen. According to the election official in this video, “We’re not the police.”
