The guard's wrist was broken.
The shooting is one of five that Tulsa police have deemed self-defense this year. Four of those shootings have resulted in deaths; Bird is the only one to survive his wounds.
None of the shooters has been arrested by police, although only Stone and one other man — Bradley Keeling, a convenience store clerk who killed two men during a robbery attempt in January — have been cleared by the District Attorney’s Office.
