“Prayer for Japan” Event Tomorrow at 7:46 PM HST (14:46 3-11, Japan; 0546 UTC 3-11)

Yumi and Gen of Fukushima Kids Hawaii will be having this event tomorrow. There will be a i-minute of silent meditation at the exact time of the event, 2:46 PM 3-11, Japan time (0546 UTC), which is 1946 3-10 HST (7:46 PM).
They are gathering at 6:30 PM. Perhaps those who cannot attend the event would like to join in the meditation at 2:46 PM 3-11 Japan Time.

Aloha Music and art loving Friends, (Japanese follows after the flyer)
On 4th Anniversary of East Japan Great Earthquake, you are invited to pray together for afflicted people with Japanese music (song/guitar/flute) by Gen & Yumi Morita, Roy Kimura, Annu Shionoya, and dance of Prayer by Shizuno, followed by a documentary film “A2-B-C” showing directed by Ian Thomas Ash.

We have a silent auction and pupus from 6:30pm before the concert starting at 7pm@Hawaiian Queen Coffee Garden (across from SAFEWAY on Henry Street). At 7:46pm March 10 in Hawaii, which is 2:46pm March 11 in Japan, we will have 1 minute of silent prayer followed by a special dance.

Healthy Pupus made with local and organic fruits and vegetables are served, tickets include right to bid for the silent auction for the art works of Mayumi Oda, Andrea Pro, Hiroki Morinoue and more.
We will be grateful for your participation (praying together has powerful and positive effect) to send a prayer to afflicted people of Japan on the exact moment as the tragedy happened 4 years ago that has changed so many people’s lives.
This event is a fundraiser for Fukushima Kids Hawaii House where children and their mothers from Fukushima can stay for up to 3 months to get a healthy respite from radiation exposure, which continues even today.
118 children are now confirmed with thyroid cancer in Fukushima, yet Japanese government denies its correlations with radiation. Fukushima Kids Hawaii has brought 4 groups of school children from Fukushima during the summer and winter one month programs of health and sustainability experiential learning thanks to many people’s contribution. Fukushima Kids Hawaii is going to bring the 5th group this summer.

ご縁のみなさま
2011年３月１１日に東北で起きた地震と津波、それに続く福島第一原発事故は多くの人に影響を与え、今も与え続けています。あれから４年の月日が過ぎようとする今、福島の甲状腺癌の子供達は１１８人になったという報告がありますが、放射線との関連は否定されたままです。
私たちは、多くのこころあるみなさまと共にここハワイ島で福島の子供達の健やかな成長のためにできることを続けていくつもりです。
あれから４周年の３月１１日午後２時４６分、ハワイ時間の３月１０日午後７時４６分に、共に祈るために以下のイベントを企画しました。
福島の子供達の現状を描いた話題のドキュメンタリー『A2-B-C』の上映は８時からです。
この島では初の上映となります。平日の夜ですが、ご参加いただければ幸いです。
