Question for GoodETxSG… “Where’s Your Thread?” (and a message from the forum host)… and now, “It’s Back Again!!”
It appears that, as of sometime this afternoon (after 1519 HST, the time of the last GoodETxSD post), GoodETxSG’s forum thread disappeared. Several of you have contacted me about it, and I conveyed that I had no idea what was going on.
When I tried (right now) to reach the GoodETxSG forum page I had bookmarked earlier, I was directed to go to another thread, which apparently was started to explain why the original thread had gone missing.
Here’s what the newer thread says:
This morning when i logged onto tot we noticed that goodetsgx thread had been deleted completely.We are aware of what happened and are investigating and awaiting a reply.
Can i assure you this what [was] not a hack and could have been accidental
We have been able to do a back up of the site but have had to go back to the 27 March so any post after that date have gone so you may see Quite a few posts missing
We apologise for this but this is the best we can do
Can i suggest all new members that have signed up today that they re register
Once again apologies[Later] At aprooxiamtely 2 am uk [1600 HST] [someone] deleted the thread in question by accident which as now been restored… I am in contact with the server guys and hopefully we can get all back prior to this
[Even later] Can i just explain the server guys have restored the website to the 27 mARCH so anything after that as gone.
Its not a hack i am trying to get them to restore to at least the 29 March
If they restore back to the 30 March then goodetsgx post will be missing
Hope that explains it[Even even later] So the best advice to everyone is to hold off posting anything new until we know whether or not the restore to include the 27th and 28th is going to happen.
If it does then anything posted today would be lost I suspect (including this thread).
Bottom line, the original thread is back up. It appears to have been accidentally deleted, but there was a backup, just not a complete backup, so a day or two of posts may be missing.
