Thank you Tom, much truth in what you have stated. Many refuse to ‘see’ that they have been placed in bondage to this ‘god’ you speak of, out of fear and torment and much manipulation. Many are getting free of this tyrant god who threatens all creation. This god depicted is not our creator, but it is indeed a creation of men and their traditions.
There is a reason so many people comment that they are unable to see any connection between Christ and His Father, to the tyrant depicted in the Old Testament. This is true, because the old is a very coded book, that when taken literally, it is some of the worst violence and slaughter one can imagine. But if seen as allegory and parable as most of scripture is, then we see the reason Christ told the pharisees and scribes, etc., they never knew His Father.
They had through oral traditions created their own ‘god’ and used this against the people, just as it is today. Religion has created a barrier that keeps people from knowing their creator, and replaces him with a tyrant, created by men.
Today, this monstrosity makes some a lot of money, with all the nonsense books about horrible destruction and taking literal what should never be taken in that way. They exercise control over their followers via threats, and we see this mentality in many posts here at BIN, always threatening and trying to scare people. Thanks again for a great article.
