Because each one of us has different size hands and every pistol maker has a different grip and trigger, you will shoot some guns better than others. We tried to create this list as objectively as possible, using reviews from third parties. Here is our pick of the ten best handguns of all time.
10. Heckler and Koch USP
The Heckler & Koch USP hails from Germany and is best known for being a Universal Self Loading pistol. It can also be best described as a semi automatic pistol with a mechanically locked breech and uses the short recoil mode of operation. It fires a 9X19mm Parabellum cartridge. And has been in operation since 1992.
9. SIGP250
The SIG P250 pistol has a mixture of American and German origins. It was manufactured by JP Sauer and Son and Sig Sauer Exeter. It is a semi automatic pistol whose action is based on recoil operation and comes with a 17 round magazine. It has iron sights with a 147 mm base. The reason why I like the Sig P250 is because the grip fits my hand well and it has a smooth trigger pull to it. Another reason is that it has a 12-round magazine
8. Browning Hi Power Pistol
It was the last pistol design of John Browning and it was developed at Fabrique Nationale’s requeestt to provide the French military with a sidearm. It also went by the names: Grande Puissance, high power, and the Grand Rendement. Interestingly enough, the French passed on it and settled for anothr gun. The Belgians decided to take it up and called it the P-35. It had natural pointability and could hold 13 rounds in its staggered, double column magazine, which was unknown at that time.
7. Taurus PT 92
The handgun, Taurus PT 92 model, made of stainless steel is one of the most amazing self-defense weapons. It happens to be a replia of the Beretta 92, but it as good as the original. In fact, some good improvements have been made by Taurus to the design. It has tack-driver, 5” barrel. This is a very high quality 9mm pistol, despite what Beretta snobs might say, and it is also cheap.
6. FN-FNP45
The FN Herstal FNP pistol is of joint Belgium and US manufacture. It is manufactured in Columbia by FNH USA. It has been in production since February 2006 and fires amongst others a 9 x 19mm Parabellum cartridge. It comes with a 14-16 round magazine.
