Top 10 Countries with Mail Order Bride Problem

The following is a top ten list of countries from where mail order brides come from. With the advent of the Internet and the collapse of the Soviet Union, there is a new twist of the the mail-order bride problem, which has existed in the east for decades before that. Increasingly, western men are turning to marriage agencies or introduction services to find spouses from the former Soviet Union. This new breed of internet marriage agencies is rapidly expanding and overtaking the market. It’s a big problem because it leaves the brides in a vulnerable state.

10. Colombia

In the early 80’s, Columbia was known for its drug cartels and the underworld, but now Latino women have emerged in the mail order bride system to search for their true love. Not only do Latino women have wonderful looks, they make faithful and caring wives.

9. Brazil

Brazilian women will make great wives, but they suffer from a lot of language barriers because other than Portuguese, there is barely any language spoken in Brazil.

8. China

China is one of the newest addictions as a source for getting mail order brides. And all for a good reason; the country is awash with many beautiful women who want to get married to men overseas. Though the Chinese culture can be quite complicated and thus confusing for foreigners, it is a good place to source for intelligent and classy women.

7. Lavia

Latvia is a country situated in the northern part of Europe, located in the center of the Baltics. It is bordered to the south with Lithuania, to the southeast by Belarus, to the east by Russia, to the north by Estonia and to the west by the Baltic Sea. In Latvia, there are eighty-five women of marriageable age for every one hundred men. Due to poor economic conditions and poor employment prospects, Latvian women look to find marriage somewhere else.

6. Vietnam

Vietnam is a source and, to a lesser extent, a destination country for women who are trafficked for sexual exploitation as well as marriage purposes. The UN Inter-Agency Project on Human Trafficking has pinpointed several factors that contribute to Vietnamese women migrating: poverty and indebtedness, lack of awareness/education, family breakdown and problems, and external influences.

5. Costa Rica

Women from Costa Rica are beautiful, but they won’t be so supporting. Costa Rican women will generally like to be in the limelight, which may not do so well with the men. It is a serious problem particularly in the provinces of Guanacaste, Limon, Puntarenas, and San Jose.
