Top 10 Heinous Crimes Committed By Children
No one will ever believe that their child is capable of murder. Some of the stories you are about to ready are horrific, tragic and sad. Kids are learning violence from different media sources and I believe it is time that we reexamine our way of punishing our kids before another life is taken from us.
10. Sajal Barui
In one of the most heinous murder cases in India’s modern history, 15-year-old Sajal Barui—and four of his friends brutally murdered his family. They said it was an act of revenge for the abuse Sajal suffered under their care. The night of terror began on November 22, 1993, when the five youths hacked Sajal’s father, stepmother, and half brother to death in a matter of a few hours. After committing the murders, the teens cleaned their weapons, ate snacks from the fridge, and left money on the counter as payment for the snacks. The teens were caught, put on trial and sentenced to death. Their death sentences were later overturned and they received life imprisonment. In 2001, it was reported that Barui managed to escape prison. He was apprehended in 2003 on charges of robbery. He later committed suicide bysetting himself on fire.
9 and 8. Dylan Klebold & Eric Harris
No can really understand what could have really possessed two teenagers to plot the murder of their schoolmates on Hitler’s birthday. Dylan Klebold along with Eric Harris went into Columbine High School on April 20, 1999 and fatally injures 12 classmates and 1teacher/coache. 21 others were injured in the shooting; many of whom are scarred and damaged by the events to this day. Both Harris and Klebold were clearly disturbed and depressed individuals. They were bullied throughout his high school. Videos of both students illustrate that the event that transpired at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999 were deliberately planned for months. Diaries and belongings recovered from their rooms also illustrate dissatisfaction with life and school.
7. Noah Crooks
13 year old Noah Crooks allegedly attacked and killed his mum Gretchen after she confiscated his videogame because he got bad grades at school. After a failed attempt to rape her, he shot her to death. Gretchen Crook’s bullet-riddled body was found stretched out on a coach. Her pajama top was undone and she was naked from the waist down. He was convicted of second degree murder. He will remain in juvenile detention center until he turns 18.
6 and 5. Tanner Vanpelt & Stephen Hammer
Two teenage boys from Wyoming were charged in a triple homicide targeting a 40-year-old woman and her elderly parents after the suspects told police their goal was to steal the family’s Audi and flee to Denver. The shootings occurred at the end of a road surrounded by ranchland and houses, several miles from a state highway that connects the town’s roughly 300 residents to the outside world. The car they were driving was owned by a woman who was friends with Hammer’s family.
4. Yaroslav Melnicheko
Yaroslav Melnicheko, a 14-year-old boy in southern Russia, was charged with murdering his father in cold blood with a sledgehammer after his parents tried to stop him from playing computer games in 2010. After the killing, the boy’s frightened mother gave him the keyboard back and the boy played computer games for several more hours until he fell asleep. The boy is old enough to be charged with murder in Russia.
