Have you ever been wrongly fired? Is your employer not the fairest to you and takes sides all the time? You will be glad to know that you are not the first and only to think that way. Here is a list of the ten most retarded reasons to get fired. The list is organized by case:
10. Brian Hill
In 2008, a police chief named Brian Hill was fired for stealing from the fire department that his station shared the building with. He was caught on camera. The crime was taking some beer from the fire department fridge. He was also arrested and convicted of misdemeanor theft and put on probation.
9. Melissa Nelson
In 2013, Dental Assistant Melissa Nelson was fired by her employer for being too sexy. The employer was forced to fire Nelson because of pressure from his wife. Nelson sued her employer. The verdict as met with shock: a court declared that it was legal for a dentist to fire an employee because they found them attractive.
8. Tomas Lopez
Tomas Lopez was a lifeguard employed in the state of Florida. He was fired for rescuing a drowning man in a section of a beach he was not patrolling. The reason: He endangered the life of others when he left his section of the beach to carry out the rescue. After public outrage, his job was reinstated, but he declined the offer.
7. Daniel Cambridge
Daniel Cambridge, a worker in a warehouse was dismissed for farting too much in 2010. The fired man revealed that the problem was a side-effect of medicine he was taking. He only worked there for a period of 5 months.
6. Ellen Simonetti
In the digital age we live in, everybody has some sort of blog they contribute to. It comes as no surprise to people that Ellen Simonetti, a former flight attendant for Delta Airlines, also has a blog entitled “Diary of a Flight Attendant. It was that blog that got her sacked in 2004. There was no case of defamation. It was just that Simonetti’s photos in uniform were not appropriate. Take a look.
5. Micah Grimes
Micah Grimes was fired from his job as a coach for beating a team 100-0. Grimes was working for a private Christian school, The Covenant School, and it was determined that running up a score like this was not “Christianlike”. Grimes refused to make an apology. Spectators were eve egging the team on as they were getting close to the 100 point mark.
