Agatha Christie once famously said, “The simplest explanation is always the most likely.” However, when catastrophic events happens in our lives, simple explanations just don’t cut it. People look to and come up with conspiracy theories as explanations.
The attack on the world trade center has remained to be a mystery, prompting many theories to crop up in trying to explain what could have led to the unfolding. There have been lots of people who have come up with some theories that have tried to differ with the notion that the attack could have been down to the revenge mission from the enemies. The following is our top ten 10 9/11 conspiracy theories that try to explain what could have led to the attack but failed.

10.Pentagon Attacks
The pentagon attacks are the mother of all 9/11 conspiracy theories. The conspirators keep asking: How was it possible the Pentagon was hit 1 hour and 20 minutes after the New York attacks began? They were hoping to see a response from Andrews Air Force Base, which was just 10 miles away and home to Air National Guard units charged with defending the skies above the nation”s capital. They also question Hani Hanjour skills, a man who failed as a Cessna pilot on his first flight in a Boeing. Why did the attack strike the just-renovated side, which was largely empty and opposite from the one that is in full occupancy?
9. Stock Exchange Early Warnings
Based on the investigations that were carried out after the 9/11 attack, it became evident that the top brass at pentagon had received some warning concerning the impending attack on the world trade center. There was also rumor that the mayor of san Francesco, will brown have received some warnings concerning this attack from someone who was close to him. It is very clear that these earlier warnings are part of the 9/11 conspiracy theories that can lead to unearthing of the real truth about the attack.
8. Flights Operated By Remote Controls
Some conspiracy theorists believe the passengers on board the doomed flights were either killedelsewhere and their bodies were thrown to sea or were part of the conspiracy and are now in witness protection. A very important piece of evidence this theory relies on is that the mobile phone calls the victims are recorded as having made to loved ones from the doomed planes were not possible because of the altitude of the aircraft and therefore faked using some unknown technology. However, phonerecords show the calls were made from satellite phones fitted to the back of the aircraft seats.
7. The Events on Board Flight 93
Events that took place on the flight 93, point out to something very suspicious. It is very difficult to imagine how a few passengers could have stormed the cockpit leading to the damage of the flight system and eventually crashing the airplane. It was reported that passengers were hijacked but successfully protested and took control of the flight before crashing it near Shanksville Pennsylvania. However, according to 9/11 conspiracy theories, it was not just due to passenger protests but it was due to a military missile attack on the plane.
6. Thermite
Immediately after the explosion had went out and rescue mission started, it was found out that a pool of molten metal were lying on the floor. It difficult to believe that steel can completely melt down without temperatures as high as 2500c. In fact jet fuel cannot melt to such high temperatures. This was the first time 9/11 conspiracy theories sprung up to try to explain the possibility of any source of heat that could have led to such high temperatures.
5. Suspicious Cell Phone Calls
It was reported that minutes before the actual attack, passengers on board the flight had just called their family members and informed them of the impending attack. However, it completely difficult to imagine hoe calls could have been possible at such high altitudes. Officials have hover since then tried to manipulate the whole story and have claimed that such calls were made from the on board airphones. Due to changing stories, many 9/11 conspiracy theories believe that these calls were actually made from the ground and were technologically morphed.
4. Stand Down Orders to The Air Defense Systems
The lethargic response of the air defense system was the other strange thing that took place on the WTC attack. There were reports that the air force personnel were ordered to counter attack any first sign of trouble, but all the defense system failed to respond as required. This had led to 9/11 conspiracy theories to believe that something fishy was taking place in the security organs.
