Congratulations, media. Now you’re getting cops shot. Way to go. Jerks.

Two police officers were shot and seriously wounded early Thursday outside the police department in Ferguson, Mo. amid protests that followed the resignation of the town’s police chief.

St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar told a news conference that a 41-year-old officer from St. Louis County was shot in the shoulder at around midnight local time, while a 32-year-old officer from suburban Webster Groves was shot in the face. Both victims were taken to a local hospital. Belmar said both men were conscious, but had no further word about their condition except to describe the injuries as “very serious.”

Belmar said that at least three shots were fired and were believed to come from a house across the street from the police department.

“I don’t know who did the shooting, to be honest with you,” Belmar said, adding that he could not provide a description of the suspect or gun.

He said his “assumption” was that, based on where the officers were standing and the trajectory of the bullets, “these shots were directed exactly at my officers.”

The chief describes the situation in Ferguson as a “very dangerous environment” in which to work, and let’s review just why that is. Without any information to back up its story, the news media sensationalized the shooting of Michael Brown by Officer Darren Wilson, playing up the racial angle and endlessly repeating what we now know was the lie that Brown had his hands up and was trying to surrender.

The media played up this angle because it loves racial conflict. It inspired race-fueled riots, thus creating an even more sensational story, while also causing people to lose their property, lose their businesses and in many cases to sustain serious injuries. People in Ferguson are angry, protesting and now firing guns at police officers – all because they were told a story by the news media that was completely false.

But the media do not care because their angle on the story fits the “national narrative” of white cops shooting black men for no reason whatsoever. And who created this “national narrative”? The media. Oh well!

Now they’re trying to create the same narrative in Madison, Wisconsin, partly because this is just what they do, and partly to cause problems for Gov. Scott Walker because he is scaring the bejeezus out of them by threatening to become the thing they fear the most – a Republican president.

  • this is very dangerous – as democrats rinos and liberals have stoked the racial tension
    to a boiling point..

We as a nation do not need this now..
    Dont you get it
democrats want to start a race war to both
    implement marital law
and then to stop all elections (since they know their going to loose anyway)

like i said anyone with a liberal bumper sticker must be considered as the enemy now…
