The Times of Israel reports that Iran’s Supreme leader Ali Khamenei called for “Death to America” on Saturday, a day after President Barack Obama appealed to Iran to seize a “historic opportunity” for a nuclear deal and a better future —- and as U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry claimed substantial progress toward an accord.
Read the report, and then ask yourself why the Obama administration would see wisdom in attempting to cut a nuclear enrichment deal with the untrustworthy, unstable and diabolical Islamist regime of Iran?
Kerry’s negotiations would allow Iran to retain a substantial uranium enrichment program if the Iranian nuclear project is “peaceful,” although there is a clear consensus by senior members of America’s intelligence community that Iran’s nuclear activities are solely geared towards eventual weapons production.
Here is Obama taking his message directly to the Iranian people, greeting them in Arabic and informing them of the Obama family’s celebration of the Iranian holiday of Nowruz, marking the first day of Spring at the White House, including creating their own Haft Seen, representing their hopes for the New Year.
Obama even cites an Iranian (Persian) poet born in the 1300’s named Hafez, noted for memorizing the entire Quran as a child. Obama quoted, “It is early spring. Try to be joyful in your heart. For many a flower will bloom while you will be in clay.”
Attempting to negotiate rationally with despotic madmen who shout “Death to America” gives prophetic authenticity to Hafez’ words.
