Everything America has done in the Middle East (especially since 9/11) has turned into such a giant cluster; most Americans barely know who we are fighting with or against, and many had no idea why our government chose to fight any of them in the first place.
Today it’s in the news that Al Qaeda, who supposed “did 9/11,” is now our greatest ally in Libya… and what’s up with Iran?
Jon Stewart’s take is spot on.
“We did it. It took decades of destabilizing conflict, but we did it. We finally figured out how to fight a proxy war against ourselves.”
American foreign policy is nothing more than a sick, sad joke.
