As heavily armed masked gunmen mercilessly slaughtered at least 15 university students at Garissa University College, seriously injuring 60 others, a single question was on their lips.
The assassins, who identified themselves as (al-Qaeda-linked) al-Shabab, ran from dorm room to dorm room shouting: “Are you Muslim or Christian?” Christians were mowed down.
The Kenyan campus has six dorms and approximately 900 students. Hundreds are reportedly still unaccounted for.
Read more in the UK’s Daily Mail. Al Jazeera’s English version, which refers to itself as a “trusted and respected” news source, mysteriously omits the crucial question that was asked of the students —- determining who lived and who died.
