Boulder Creek Musical Instruments, an acoustic guitar specialist, and big green itself, Remington Outdoor Company, have worked out a marketing agreement featuring Remington’s famous branding on Boulder Creek’s unique guitars. With these Remington guitars shooters everywhere can let freedom ring in any chord they like.
“Guitars are a natural fit for Remington, because so many outdoorsmen and women are musicians and music lovers,” said Gary Keffer, a Remington spokesman. “I can picture sitting around the campfire after a day in the field and happily strumming a Remington guitar or listening to one of my campmates play for us.”
The Remington series was inspired by Boulder Creek’s musically-talented Larry Gatlin, who wrote the song “An American With A Remington.” After Gatlin’s video went viral, Remington contacted Boulder Creek’s CEO Jeff Strametz to get to work on a series of Remington guitars. “We are excited to be working with Remington to bring music to its audience of outdoor enthusiasts,” Strametz said.
Remington and Boulder Creek are launching with five acoustic guitars with two based on the Stagemaster model, with dreadnought bodies, a Lodge model with a jumbo body and two Field models, their mini guitars. They all use Boulder Creek’s Suspended Bracing System and feature a side ported sound hole that projects the guitar’s sound to players’ ears.
Boulder Creek expects to start shipping Remington-series guitars before the end of summer 2015. They’re taking names on the company website for musicians who would like to sign up for notification when these guitars become available.
