Waking Times
Rude awakenings are often accompanied by intense visionary experiences. Some windows of perception help you reveal truths that you were never meant to approach, engage with, or resolve for yourself. If you’ve received a brash wake-up call recently, you can tune into a global lens that establishes a firm interpretation of how the macrocosm of our collective consciousness is manifesting itself both in the spiritual and material worlds. We view the macrocosm by studying the microcosmic perspective, and at present, that tiny portal into the universe has taken the form of a small child in many people’s visions. Right now I am witnessing the inner child of the world soul get beaten to a pulp by circumstances beyond its control. The poor thing hasn’t had a break in a good quarter-century, but the time that was taken has now been retrieved, and I have seen it be safely restored to the child. What this means for the rest of us, is that the dimensions of space and time which were previously compromised without our consent are being restored to each of us, respectively, in accordance with the eternal Tao. It means that we are each being given the chance to contribute a verse to the epic saga in which we are all crucial players.
In a recent journey, I watched thousands gathered around the child in protest. They had come to see a rebirth and a resurrection, and what they witnessed instead was an arrest of the Truth. The little girl had found her voice and decided to speak up, and her life was temporarily placed on hold until it was determined that she had done nothing wrong. The child was returned to commission to the merriment of those who witnessed the action. Once exonerated and released, a soul with the courage to defend the truth is granted more than just the opportunity to once again breathe; she or he can finally thrive and do what they were born to do. These individuals appear at the changing of times; they are the ones who arrive to restore the world to a pure dharma. These are the brave souls who cannot be forgotten or omitted, and the ones who so often are charged with the task of remembering everything.
The little girl is an exact reflection of the total truth, a perfect mirror of our combined evolutionary stage of growth moment to moment, and she stands as a self-determining outcome that is paramount to our individual and collective soul path. The arrival of the Renewal, the spiritual rebirth, and the child of the union of spirit and matter is an ancient story. In The Bhagavad Gita, the text explains this individual in the following passage:
“Whenever righteousness falters and chaos threatens to prevail, I take on a human body and manifest myself on earth. In order to protect the good, to destroy the doers of evil, to ensure the triumph of righteousness, in every age I am born.” :: The Bhagavad Gita, 4: 7-8 ::
Anyone can access the doorway or threshold that leads to triumph over seemingly insurmountable adversity. Beyond that threshold there is a realm where the hidden potential to become a redeemer within everyone exists. These beings are virtuous, kind, gentle, and devoted to the refinement of soul. The prospect of someone who arrives in time to change the course of humanity’s collective trajectory to a more positive path is well-received. However, these characters are repeatedly put to the test, challenged on a mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional level, and often ousted by society. We all long for a savior, but when a savior presents him or herself to the world, that individual or group must battle against unspeakable darkness of ancient stored pain just to reach the light they come to bear. The term resilience comes to mind immediately: that quality or condition in a person who exhibits fearlessness, courage, steadfastness, and the ability to bounce back from adversity and never falter.
What these individuals embody and protect is the balance of light and dark, good and evil, neglect and nourishment. They are criminals and archangels, at once, and they are sinners and saints with hearts of gold. Each maintains the wisdom and appreciation for a sacred symmetry, knowing well that they can dream heaven or hell into existence at will. Stuart Wilde once wrote that reality and creation exist as hypothetical holographic potentials. Each one of us contains within us the spirit, the memory, and the psychic imprint of everything in existence:
“Everything and everyone that ever lived is inside you: Hitler, Mother Teresa, Genghis Khan, the greatest creators, the saints, the animal worlds, the plant kingdoms and so on. They are all within you and you are inside them.” :: Stuart Wilde, God’s Gladiators ::
Each one of us is capable of thinking about and manifesting heaven or hell as we walk about, and this endows us with a great responsibility: to be the darkness or the light that shines within it. This child from the visions has a light inside of her. She is grace, embodied. She is aware of her darkness, and she has merged it with her light.
If you are linked to this child in any way, chances are that life has not transpired exactly in accordance with the plans you have made for yourself. You might have been met with harsh criticism, judgment, or disbelief in the company of others who cannot understand the beauty and radiance of your inner light when it shines. It is likely that you have spent a lifetime trying to work out the plot, trying to sort out the missing details, or possibly even trying to solve a murder mystery of your own sacred self. Consider this your big break: the moment that you wake up to your own significance in the grand play and determine to set out on a path that aligns you with everything you need to survive, thrive, and begin again. No one is entitled to a hand out, and walking into the world with the attitude that no one is obligated to help you in your journey is often the best mind frame to be in when you are trying to redeem, absolve, resurrect, and resolve your life’s epic ballad. No one can do this for you, you must do it for yourself. As we heal the microcosm, we heal the macrocosm, because without your transformation there can never be a transformation of this world or any other.
Each of us has some specific lens through which we perceive, interpret, engage with, and transform the world. No one expresses the Truth in the same way, however, and the intelligence of the multi-verse is begging the child inside you to contribute to the grand play. Whether or not you are prepared to speak your truth, to reveal what has been hidden for so long, or to shine a light in the darkness around you, the world is ready to receive whatever radiance you might have to offer. Why else would you be here at this moment—
Answer.
“That you are here—that life exists, and identity,
That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.” :: Walt Whitman ::
