Declassified 1962 Government Document Called for Blowing Up American Buildings to Justify War with Cuba

In the year 1962 a plan was developed by our government to blow up our own military bases, sink our own ships and even do mock funerals to convince the American public that there was a need to invade Cuba. Download the declassified government document from the NSA archive here.
The document titled Operation Northwoods, written by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, published that a “Remember the Maine (false flag)” incident could be arranged in several forms.
The document suggests:
a. We could blow up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba.
b. We could blow up a drone (unmanned) vessel anywhere in Cuban waters near the vicinity of Havana or Santiago and use the presence of the Cubans investigating the crime as compelling evidence that the ship was under attack.
c. The would develop a false propaganda campaign to strike fear about a developing Communist Cuban terror campaign in Miami area, in other Florida cities and even Washington.
The memorandum to both joint chiefs of staff dated March 13, 1962 was devised with a very precise mission: 
This treasonous plan was developed by the Joint Chiefs and the Department of Defense , including General Lyman Lemnitzer, who called this atrocity “suitable” for planning purposes and gladly signed this wicked plan. He then submitted the proposal to the Secretary of Defense, Robert McNamara. The document suggests with an eerie certainty that there will be “similar submissions from other agencies” as well. 
The document also recommends the overt and covert military and para-military operations be executed by the Joint Chief of Staff, in what they called a “basic” plan. 
So next time someone tells you that 9/11 could have been an inside job by our government, remember that 50 years ago there was already a plan by the Joint Chiefs of Staff to kill innocent Americans to justify war with Cuba. How was Saddam Hussein and Iraq part of 9/11 again?
