Jesus Christ was not a real person and is probably the result of a combination of stories about several different individuals, according to a writer and leading atheist activist.
David Fitzgerald, a San Francisco based author, believes he has compiled compelling evidence that proves Jesus did not exist.
He claims there are no contemporary mentions of Jesus in historical accounts from the time when he was supposed to have lived, yet other Jewish sect leaders from the time do appear …. http://www.dailymail.co.uk

Bar Pontius Pilate the written records surviving of his biography which were written into the New Testament, the Orthodox Ethiopian church records his canonisation after conversion to Christianity and death in AD 39 and his existence was proven in 1961 (During a 1961 dig in Caesarea Maritima, Italian archaeologist Dr. Antonio Frova uncovered a piece of limestone inscribed with Pontius Pilate’s name in Latin, linking Pilate to Emperor Tiberius’s reign.). The trial itself would have just been a footnote in his career bar it later changed his life.

You might as well say that Caesar was a contemporary who referred to Jesus.
Evil men have been trying to disprove the existence of Jesus Christ since He rose into Heaven almost 2000 years ago. They failed then and they will continue to fail because there is more historic evidence for the Person of Jesus Christ than there is for ANY other figure in antiquity including Julius Caesar or Aristotle or Plato.
Nice try but you will have to take up some other argument because YOU LOSE and if you don’t accept Him not only as a historical fact, but as the SAVIOR who came to the world; God in the Flesh of a man who willingly gave up His life at a cruel and torturous wooden cross but then He took it up again, you will spend eternity separated from Him in eternal damnation and the most horrific, hopeless death that lasts forever! He rose from the grave because death couldn’t hold Him and now you want to take that away from Him (not like you could but you show yourself to be antichrist by this very article)
It’s pretty ironic too, how they have more evidence left about the Person of Jesus Christ WITHOUT having His bones! He left an empty grave because He isn’t in it! He rose again, and Christians are right now celebrating His time of His death, burial and resurrection this weekend. Happy Resurrection Day! You don’t have many “happy” days left, whoever you are who deny Jesus Christ and that is a shame seeing how you could have a wondrous eternity in store if you would only Believe the Truth instead of the lie!

The obsession with the ‘historicity’ of Jesus is considered by many theologians as a modern heresy equivalent to Arianism etc. It detracts from the centrality of free will in their theology by a resort to determinism. Jesus as God out, Jews as Gods in.
It was not the Jews that sacrificed himself on the cross (and nor are there are not still a few stragglers yet to do it) it was God.

Who is foolish enough to take the word of a modern day atheist from San Francisco (and probably a homosexual to boot) over recorded history, hypothesizing that the single most influential person ever to walk upon this earth was someone who never existed to begin with? How foolish is that?
