(Before It's News)

The obviously distraught uncle of a one-year-old little girl who was struck in the head by a bullet last week during an apparent road rage incident made his way to news crews standing outside of the hospital and, without warning, jumped in front of the camera to express his opinion.

Although the baby was said to be brain dead, Edmond “Mackie” McNeil, told those listening that his niece, Malijha Grant, was “going to be alright.” McNeil said the family is relying on their faith and simply wants peace and privacy during this difficult time.

MeNeil then had a message for those responsible.

“We need to stop the Seattle violence. Come on, man. CD, Southend, whoever, wherever…It’s over. We’re trying to live for our kids. Everybody needs to live for your kids now. It’s over. You ain’t no gangster because you want to carry a gun. That’s stupid! Live for your kids. Be a PTA parent. Do something”

Those responsible for the shooting are still at large.
