Congressional report confirms dire predictions
Wages of America’s middle class have dropped below 1970s levels as immigration has surged 325 percent, according to a new congressional report that puts to rest leftwing claims that native-born Americans are economically enhanced by greater immigration.
The nonpartisan Congressional Research Service (CRS) report studied immigration and middle class income from 1945-2013 and found that as immigration slowed between 1945 and 1970, American incomes increased. But when immigration expanded, the incomes of the bottom 90 percent of Americans went flat and then dropped beginning in 2000.
In the report to the Senate Judiciary Committee, the CRS confirmed that the foreign-born population of the United States surged 324.5 percent, from 9,740,000 to 41,348,066, from 1970 to 2013. The impact is not insignificant.
Competition for university placement and fewer jobs will increase as our elected representatives continue to ignore the crisis, as the influx of illegal invaders continues unabated.
Yet Barack Obama has virtually erased our southern border. Using executive orders that even he declared were unlawful, (video) he has granted amnesty to millions of illegals, confident when they vote, they’ll show their appreciation by voting a straight Democrat ticket.
Additionally, he ignores reports of Islamist terrorists entering our country through our unguarded southern border.
Read the fact-filled report by Paul Bedard and the dismal economic predictions in the Washington Examiner. If you have concerns about America’s future and the lives your children and theirs will face, this is reading definitely worth your time.
U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) a steadfast voice exposing amnesty schemes said it best back in 2014, “Never in recent memory has the divide between the everyday citizen and the political elite been as wide as it is now. A sovereign nation establishes rules about who can enter, work, and live within its borders. In every imaginable way, the President has worked to dismantle these rules -— on the border, in our courts, through our visa system, through our asylum system, through our exit-entry system. And with this planned executive action, the President proposes to scrub away what remains of these rules. And Senate Democrats will have been partners in its commission.”
Since then, it’s all too clear Republicans have been equally complicit, falling in line with Obama’s schemes as in Thursday’s confirmation vote of U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch who has acknowledged she will continue to support Obama’s policies. John McCain, standing for reelection couldn’t afford to be in the “yea” column, but his toadies Jeff Flake and Lindsey Graham voted with the unified Democrats.
