NC: Woman Drives off Invader with Gunfire

The loud noise turned out to be a man kicking through her door.
The woman called 911 and confronted the intruder.
“I got my handgun and walked around the corner to see this person entering into my home. I asked, ‘Why are you trying to break into my home?’” she said.
She said when he didn’t respond, she pulled the trigger and fired six shots. The shots missed the man and pierced the wall. He ran from her house.
“I feel had I not had a weapon, I could have easily been on the news as someone who was killed; raped,” she said.
