Russia’s chilling THREAT to the West: Putin’s army chief warns of ‘how it will all END’

General Valery Gerasimov, seeking to justify his country’s rising military strength and hinting at a future world war, warned: “It’s difficult to foresee how this will all end.”
In a caution over the West’s interference in ongoing Russian-backed military activity in Ukraine, he added: “We don’t know what kind of orders the new Ukrainian authorities are receiving from their Western ‘curators’ and where Kiev’s aggression may be directed in future.”
It could involve a “military threat for Russia”, said General Gerasimov, vowing Moscow would defend itself.
The US and its NATO partners aim to “bring Russia to its knees” by fuelling conflicts across its border, such as in Ukraine, added the close friend of President Vladimir Putin.
NATO members are currently engaged in war games off the coast of Scotland, which are designed as a show of force in the face of recent Russian aggression.
Fifty-five warships, 70 aircraft and 13,000 soldiers, sailors and airmen from 14 nations have gathered for ‘Exercise Joint Warrior’ in British waters.
General Gerasimov, Russia’s Chief of the General Staff, claimed the ongoing exercise is based on “military action against a simulated enemy, which could easily be guessed as the Russian Federation”.
Speaking at a security conference in Moscow, he continued: “The deployment of US global anti-missile defence systems is seen by us as an additional step by the United States and its allies to destroy the current system of international security in its striving for world domination.”
He added: “It becomes obvious that continuing the implementation of US and NATO missile defence plans creates a real threat to Russian strategic nuclear forces.”
NATO military activity near Russian borders has dramatically risen, he said, citing how since 2013 there has been a four-fold rise in the number of ships entering the Black Sea.
General Gerasimov said: “The number of tactical and reconnaissance aircraft flights near the Russian borders has increased two times, and flights of early radar warning planes – nine times.
“Since the start of 2014, the number of NATO operations has drastically increased.”Considering themselves ‘winners’ in the Cold War, the US decided to reshape the world to suit exclusively themselves.
“Striving for absolute dominance, Washington no longer takes into account interests of other countries in its policy and made it not obligatory for itself to observe the norms of international law.
