(Before It's News)

Although Hitler is dead, the Nazi ideology is unfortunately very much alive through these ten groups and more. This top ten list examines a select few that are too bizarre and worthy of mention on this list.

10. The National Socialistic Japanese Workers Party, Japan

Japanese-Flag

The National Socialistic Japanese Workers Party in Japan also goes by the name Nationalsozialistische Japanische Arbeiterpartei (NSJAP), Kokka Shakaishugi Nippon Rodosha and is led by Kazunari Yamada. They are known to incorporate imagery and ideas from the Hitler Era in order to justify attacks against Koreans and the Chinese. It also happens to be anti-Semitic, which is bizarre because Japan is home to very few Jewish people. Recently, Yamada caused controversy for President Shinzo Abe when two cabinet members of his party posed in a picture with the former, holding up a Japanese flag. The two cabinet members apologized for the incident.

9. Vigrid, Norway

Norse statute
Tore Tvedt is the founder of Norway’s neo-Nazi Group. The neo-Nazi group has always had a mystical bent based on Norse mythology, which differentiates them from other neo-Nazi groups in Norway who are more prone to street violence and excessive drinking. The Norse religion is interpreted in a racialized way and elements of Odinism are combined with a liking for the Third Reich. Their ideology comes from the volisch movement, a form of racial occultuism that romanticized the ancient German culture and religion. Tvedt also founded a similar organization called Boot Boys, which split with Vigrid over their policy on alcoholism.

8. Patrol 36, Israel

Israeli flag
Israel’s Law of Return permits anyone with at least one Jewish grandparent to immigrate to Israel. This law has caused friction as many of the new Israelis have only a tangential connection to Judaism and many of them were raised to hate Jewish people, the critics claim. Their choice to immigrate was solely base on economic reasons and was encouraged by the Jewish Agency for Israel, critics further argue. These sentiments led to the rise of a far-right group called Patrol 36. A group of young men formed the group in Petah Tikvah and staged attacks against homosexuals, Jewish wearing skull caps, drug addicts and foreign workers. In one incident, the neo-Nazis attacked a drug addict and made him apologize for being a Jew. The video was interspersed with pictures of Hitler. The group was broken up and arrested in 2007.

7. Azov Battalion, Ukraine

Ukraine Crisis
Azov Battalion is a volunteer-based, far-right paramilitary militia that is affiliated with the Ukrainian government. The battalion is located in Mariupol and was formed in 2014 during the pro-Russian unrest in the country. They may pose a big threat to Ukrainian government, even bigger than Russia, once the conflict with Russia is over. The leader claims to not be a Nazi, but has used lyrics from Hitler and is considered to be a Holocaust-denier.

6. Gay Aryan Skinheads

Pink-Swastika
In Russia, homophobia is quite widespread and the neo-Nazis in the country are groups that plan out attacks on members of the LGBT community. That is, however, not the case with Gay Aryan Skinheads (GASH). The organization fights for the rights of gay men as well as white Nationalism and opposes all interracial relationships; including heterosexual and homosexual. They also refuse to admit transgendered people and those who are lesbians into their group. This group is bizarre because Hitler prosecuted homosexuals.

5. The Golden Dawn, Greece

The Golden Dawn
This Neo-Nazi group is located in Greece and openly holds racist views and their support for the Nazis. They have been in operation for 30+ years. Until recently their members have been mostly fighting ultra-nationalist groups in ethnic conflicts like Bosnia. However, the recent crisis in Greece has led to electoral support for the party in Greece. They support a militaristic civil order and are well-known for their scapegoating of Greek immigrants for the country’s instability.

4. Creativity, USA

Creativity
It is a bizarre religion that was founded by Ben Klassen in Florida in 1973. All members of the religion are atheists and they are anti-Christian, anti-Semitic and racist. Adherence is mostly by following a strict moral code, the highest virtue is to do good for the white race. The United States federal government is one of the many political entities that recognize it.
