GMOs are found in almost every major consumer brand product that is on the shelf at your store. From candy to soda, to bread and cereal. If you are truly worried about the consumption of GMOs, these are some of the key brands to avoid.

1. Nestle
Nestle is one of the largest producers of baby foods, which they pack with GMO grown ingredients. Namely, they soy that is used for baby formula’s sources of proteins. Nothing in nature can replicate a mother’s breast milk, especially GMO laden soy beans.

2. Hershey’s
Not only does Hersey’s rely on GMO-based ingredients, they’ve spent millions to fight against GMO labelling laws. Specifically the nearly $1 million dollars donated just to fight California’s proposition 37, and Washington’s I-522.

3. Pepsi
Pepsi’s “Naked” juice that it labels as “all natural”, is actually loaded with GMO produce. Then again, this won’t be the first time that the Pepsi company has been hit with a false advertising lawsuit.

4. General Mills
General Mill’s own CEO said that he sees no problem using biotech crops… Which doesn’t fit with the company’s statement that “We do not use genetically modified ingredients in our flakes. Our main ingredients are always whole grain oats – never GMO oats. We use a small amount of cornstarch in the cooking process, and only a gram of sugar per serving. Our cornstarch is obtained from non-GMO corn, and we use pure cane sugar,”

5. Kellogg’s
The kellogg’s brand of Kashi products have been found to contain 100% GMO corn, which goes against the brand’s claims of being “all natural”. It’s amazing what good marketing can do. That little scam cost the company $5 million dollars in a recent lawsuit.

6. Coca-Cola
With almost every product that Coca-Cola sells containing one form or another of high fructose corn syrup, it’s not a surprise at all that they are on this list. Even their “Simply Orange Juice” brand contains genetically modified oranges.

Keep your eyes open when you’re shopping, because until GMO labeling becomes the rule instead of the exception, There are going to be GMOs in the most common items in your grocery cart.
