(Before It's News)

Surveillance video from the parking lot of a Walmart in Cottonwood, Arizona, was recently released and shows the confrontation last month between an Idaho family, who make up the members of a Christian street band known as Matthew 24, and eight police officers.

The confrontation, which left one dead, eight injured and several arrested, apparently started when a Walmart employee tried to enter the restroom in the store and was pushed away from the door by members of the family.

The altercation, which also included a loss prevention officer, erupted in the parking lot after the officers arrived.

During the all-out brawl, one of the family members, 21-year-old Enoch Gaver, gained control of an officer’s gun and shot the officer in the leg before Gaver was fatally shot by another officer.

Cottonwood Police Chief Jody Fanning said the officers exercised great restraint when dealing with the family and that they still don’t understand what instigated the incident to physical violence.
