Please watch the above video.
(INTELLIHUB) — According to a video report, in 2010 U.S. oil consumption was estimated at “6.99 billion barrels”.
In 2011 the Energy Information Administration estimated that the average American household purchases well over $3000 worth of fuel every year. Can you say cha-ching?
So it’s no wonder that more efficient fuel saving technologies have been suppressed by Big Oil and others who have a stake in profiteering from oil.
Moreover today’s world is different for than when I was a teenager some 19-years ago. In fact, gas at the time was only $0.97 per gallon and if you had the right car you could cruse for days on a few bucks. Oh boy, were those the times.
Now as the fractional reserve banking system and corrupt politicians inside the federal government have trampled the citizens of the United States into the ground one may be lucky where I live to find gas for any less than $2.79 per gallon. In fact, it’s typically over $2.30 on average and it’s not getting any cheaper.
To boot we have somehow seemed to back-peddle, technologically speaking, in the automotive industry as vehicular fuel efficiency has seemed to steadily decline in production vehicles over the years, rather than increase.
For example, in 2014, the top six rated vehicles for fuel economy get shockingly poor gas mileage compared to previously produced vehicles back in the 1980s, which were far less technologically advanced.
Take the 1989 Geo Metro for example, getting a record 50 mpg highway and 12 mpg city, for a combined 47 mpg. We are talking 1989 folks!
FeulEconomy.gov reports:

Now compare the current 2014 numbers to the 1989 Geo Metro:
Ladies and gentlemen, you have been duped. The only car that exceeds the 1989 Geo Metro’s performance is the 2014 Toyota Prius.
Moreover, the manufacture’s suggested retail price of a Geo Metro back in 1989 was $5995.
