Here’s the story: Right now, there are 36 states considering 110 different bills to limit or eliminate personal belief exemptions. I received this email last week from a Canary Party member in Maine: Jeff, So Monday we had our first hearing on our vaccine bills. It was standing room only and I was behind one of the legislators on the committee. At one point she leaned over to her colleagues next to her and said, ‘Have you guys seen that movie, “Bought”?’ And it made me love you and Toni so, so much. Thank you.
Dang. I can’t sit here and do nothing. (Neither can you.) So, we’re going to make “Bought” free to view online, again. We’ve been starting to build revenue by showing the first 30 minutes for free, then offering the rest of it for $4.99. Those $4.99’s were starting to add up. But that will just have to wait. There’s just no way legislators are going to pay to see it. And no way we’ll get the “shares” we need to make a difference. So, I just took down our (income producing) page and replaced it with a “see the whole film at no charge” page. We’ll leave this campaign going for a couple of weeks, hopefully we can build a groundswell. Will you help spread the word? No kidding, it won’t make any difference if no one knows. No news outlet is going to cover this. No one is going to ride to the rescue. It’s just us, one at a time, getting the word out. Bought is the tool that can help sway public opinion, the “Silent Spring” of our generation. But only if we get enough people to know it’s available.
