London – inquiring minds have been waiting and now the princess has a name!
The brand new UK royal, a young lady born on Saturday, has been named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
The middle names, obviously, hark to her great-grandmother, the present queen, and her paternal grandmother, Princess Diana, who perished in 1997.
Charlotte, a feminine type for Charles, is most likely a nod to her grandfather, Prince Charles.
Charlotte Elizabeth Diana is 4th in line to the throne — after Prince Charles; her father, Prince William; and her brother, Prince George.
