Chris Martin of Coldplay recently teamed up with the cast of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” to put together a musical benefiting Red Nose Day, a campaign aimed at helping children living in poverty.
The idea was questionable from the beginning, but Martin had faith in the project. Initially, it appeared to be a disappointment when only a few members of the cast showed up. A few meaning two. And of those who showed, Iwan Rheon, who plays the part of Ramsay, seemed to be the only one truly excited about the production, which of course, is better than him randomly torturing people.
But lo and behold, Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington, showed up to save the day, although Martin seemed to have a hard time grasping the concept that Harington only plays the part of Jon Snow and isn’t actually the character he plays.
Snow, er… Harington called in some favors – and some takeout – and before they knew it, the place was packed with a good portion of the crew and their true talents were really showing through.
In the end, it all worked out… until George R.R. Martin saw the production, at which time it was promptly canceled.
