(Before It's News)

Bullet hole in George Zimmerman's vehicle.

It appears that George Zimmerman, who has survived the violent attack by Treyvon Martin, survived the media persecution, survived the trial, had his marriage destroyed and a reward posted on his head for the temerity of surviving, has apparently survived an assassination attempt.   A bullet narrowly missed George Zimmerman's head, leading to non-life threatening wounds.  The man who tried to kill him, seems to have thought he had succeeded.  From wesh.com:

Zimmerman's attorney Don West said a bullet missed Zimmerman's head, but he was sprayed with glass from his vehicle's windshield and other debris.

West said Zimmerman has been released from the hospital.

Kenneth Cornell says that the shooter approached him:

Kenneth Cornell told WESH 2’s Gail Paschall-Brown that he called 911 after the alleged shooter approached him and said, “I shot George Zimmerman.” Cornell said the alleged shooter then got on the phone with dispatch and explained what happened.

From the orlandosentinel.com:

Lake Mary Chief Steve Bracknell said Zimmerman did not shoot, but another person — an unidentified person Zimmerman knows — shot at him.

Police initially thought the shooting was a road-rage incident, but Bracknell said that might not be true.

The media are already trying to somehow blame George Zimmerman for the shooting.

George Zimmerman has to be one of the most reviled and maligned men in America.  His sin is that he defended his life at a time when the Obama administration was looking for an incident to inflame black voters.

For the best analysis of the Zimmerman trial, Massad Ayoob has done the best job.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

  • To the lawyer who drafted this: Nobody says “had the temerity.” Nobody says “temerity” in the real world.

It’s like “had a penchant for.”

By his own account, George chased down and shot to death an unarmed person, who had done NOTHING except head for his father’s home, while pursued by a suspicious character in a van. (George.)

George’s unsworn statement that the innocent person “jumped out the (non-existent) bushes” and attacked him is beyond ludicrous.

The medical examiner suffered total memory failure and could not discuss the autopsy.

The medical examiner changed his conclusions about two important details.

The medical examiner had the questions and answers in front of him on paper, when
he was being questioned by the defense.

The defense pretended to catch him at this toward the end, to deflect suspicion.

One of the detectives pretended to have found a burglary tool several days after
the site of the killing, in an area already searched.

The judge allowed testimony about home invasions that happened years earlier,
in which the perpetrators were caught, and when Martin didn’t live there.

How did all THAT happen? How much, is the question.

And GEORGE destroyed his own marriage, when he talked his wife into lying
to the court about their assets, so he could get a lower bail.

USUALLY women turn on you, after you get them convicted of a felony.

And now we have what is probably another staged incident, you know, like
the “rescue of people from an overturned car” STAGED incident.

The private detective show Mannix had its hero survive a gunshot through
his car windshield just about every week.

I see the little hole in the passenger side window. Where did the bullet
go after that, eh? Where is the rest of the damage?

    • that should read: …after, at the site…”
