(Before It's News)

Arizonans deserve better

In an article rife with omissions, misrepresentations and even misspellings, MSNBC reports that far left U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-CD 1) has announced her intention to challenge Republicrat Sen. John McCain.

After initially winning a House seat in 2008, she was unceremoniously kicked to the curb by voters just two years later, as they replaced the lackluster Kirkpatrick with Republican Paul Gosar. After he and his family relocated to Congressional District 4, she ran again in 2012, besting Republican Jonathan Paton by a slim 3.6 percent. Gosar was elected in CD 4.

Kirkpatrick, an enthusiastic supporter of the disastrous Obamacare, is pro-amnesty and is a same-sex marriage advocate. Although identified as Catholic, she is pro-abortion. And though CD 1 is home to more tribal members than any other district in the United States, Kirkpatrick managed to insult the Apache tribe’s chairman Wendsler Nosie Sr. after he hosted a fundraiser for her on the San Carlos Reservation in 2010.

Uncomfortable when unscripted, she oddly fled from none-too-happy constituents assembled at a Holbrook grocery store for a town hall meeting with her.

McCain is indeed vulnerable. His own party’s elected officials overwhelmingly voted to censure him. He retaliated by colluding with Democrats as he attempted to purge the conservatives activists from elected precinct committeemen ranks.

Both John McCain and his senate doppelganger Jeff Flake are exceedingly unpopular among Arizona grassroots Republicans, and are embarrassingly ranked the lowest among U.S. Senators nationally, with McCain at a bottom-dragging 30 percent approval rating and Flake even lower at 27 percent.  The duo vote as liberals but reconstruct themselves prior to primary elections to assume a momentary aura of conservatism. Aware of the disdain with which he is held by conservatives, McCain is fighting to have open primaries since he needs crossover votes to win. Against the wishes of the majority of GOP activists, the AZ GOP establishment is giving him cover.

There is an actual conservative giving consideration to this race. Kelli Ward, a state senator, family physician, mom and military wife has opened an exploratory campaign. Arizonans don’t have to settle for a committed liberal or a RINO masquerading as a “maverick.”

This will be an expensive and critically important campaign. Sign up to help Sen. Ward. It matters.
