Obama picks wrong threat to global security
With huge swaths of the Middle East in turmoil as Islamic fundamentalist Jihadists recruit, kidnap and rape young women and children, behead Christians and slaughter Jews, Barack Obama addressed the Coast Guard Academy graduating class of 2015 to talk about….the grave threat posed by global warming…er…climate change.
He says, “So, going forward, I’ve committed to doubling the pace at which we cut carbon pollution.”
What happened to onetime Al-Qaeda-offshoot, ISIS?
Last year Barack Obama referred to ISIS as “jayvee,” as in “junior varsity.”
That group he so breezily dismissed as ”jayvee” now “controls a volume of resources and territory unmatched in the history of extremist organizations, ”makes $3 million per day selling oil on the black market, battles for control of Iraq’s largest dam and the power supply for the city of Mosul, is spreading into Lebanon, threatening to starve or slaughter “at least 40,000 members of the Yazidi sect,” organizes protests in the Netherlands and is stepping up its recruitment of Westerners, according to Defense in Depth. These facts from July 2014, have exacerbated. Since then the world has witnessed even more atrocities in the name of Allah committed by radicals with ties to ISIS, including mass beheadings of hundreds at a time for the “crime” of being Christian.
As cities fall to its control, public executions, amputations as punishment for petty crimes along with imposition of harsh Sharia law keep the terrified populace in check.
But as Obama delivered the commencement address (video) at the U. S. Coast Guard Academy Wednesday he warned graduates climate change is one of the largest threats the military academy graduates will have to face.
In his speech, Obama said denying climate change or refusing to deal with it is negligence and “dereliction of duty,” adding, “denying it or refusing to deal with it endangers our national security.”
“Climate change is one of those most severe threats. This is not just a problem for countries on the coasts or for certain regions of the world. Climate change will impact every country on the planet. No nation is immune. So I am here today to say that climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security, an immediate risk to our national security. And make no mistake, it will impact how our military defends our country. So we need to act and we need to act now,” he warned.
