The Cure – Ted Slipchinsky

I could believe that I had a variety of medical “conditions” which had nothing to do with consciousness; that one day my body had, for some unfathomable reason, decided to go rogue.  At the mercy of these conditions, I could surrender fearfully to all that modern medicine had to offer.  This approach might even work in the short term.  In the long term however, the only promise it offers me personally is some modest assistance in managing the inexorable decline of that vessel which houses my sacred soul.

Or i could go within and, with the help of some wise beings, understand my “symptoms” as the manifesting of my energy field in physical form.  I could take responsibility, without guilt or judgment, for the way I have blocked my energy for most of my life through fear.   

I have written myself a prescription. It is in bold capital letters, and it says:  LIVE FEARLESSLY. EXPRESS YOUR DEEPEST SOUL DESIRES IN THE WORLD. MOVE YOUR ENERGY THROUGH YOUR BODY, FROM THE HEAVENS ABOVE TO THE EARTH BELOW AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN. 

So Be it.
