The institution of marriage was around long before there was a Supreme Court to define what marriage is or is not. It was around long before there were English common law courts. Before there was Roman courts. Before there was a Greek democracy. The institution of marriage goes back nearly as far as recorded history does.
Regardless of what you believe or ascribe to in terms of the history of mankind, there was a time in history when a being or beings with powers we do not understand or possess walked the earth. The very existence of the Great Pyramid at Giza should be all the evidence you need. Ask any engineer to reconstruct such a thing with modern technology and see how hard they laugh.
Like it or not, this entity or these entities gave instructions to the wisest men of the day on how to operate a society for thousands of years to come. Part of these instructions was the institution of marriage. It was, simply put, the license to have children. The desire to not only have children but to have sex is so strong that violating these rules has always gone on. There was a time in our history when such acts were punishable by death. We have evolved beyond that barbarism, of course, but our definition of marriage has become more lenient as our level of self control has diminished.
As a result, the world has become overpopulated and diseased. Not long ago, the rules for marriage were still relatively strict. Each partner had to take a blood test to ensure they were compatible. Genealogy had to be looked up to ensure the children would be strong and healthy. Without these measures in place, children are being born with all sorts of genetic deformities while people scratch their heads as to what is causing it.
Cry all you like about the rights of people who just want to be together and start a family without jumping through all the hoops, but who is standing up for the rights of the dying oceans and rain forests our exponential growth is sucking the life out of? Who is standing up for the animals losing their homes to build ours? Who is standing up for the ocean floor being drilled into to feed our cars? Who is standing up against the earthquake causing frackers that need to create more jobs for all the people we are creating?
The institution of marriage and gay rights are two completely separate issues. A compromise was offered for two people of the same sex to live together and have legal rights, and do whatever they wanted in the privacy of their own homes, called civil unions. But that was not enough. The ignorance and liberalism of today is the cause of the very serious problems we face. So march all you want to show your pride. March us all right off that cliff.

What if i was the return of Jesus Christ but I didnt know english because I only know how to write in Geometry? Your stupid face wouldnt be able to tell me anything. You are not God. But you want to separate them, therefore killing them, because you dont welcome them.
