New Data Sheds Interesting Light on Relationship Between Weed and Sex

Some like it hot! And others like to actually see the flames… literally.
According to Pornhub, smoking fetishes are extremely popular, but a closer look at the website’s latest search data has revealed that there is an entire world of marijuana enthusiasts searching for weed-related porn.
While it’s not surprising that people love combining weed and sex (Check out our weekly Stoner Sexcolumn!), the idea of people seeking out pot in porn is a little harder for us to wrap our brains around—especially since we regularly use the phrase “Pot Porn” to refer to gorgeous bud shots.
Regardless, it looks like our favorite sticky icky has joined forces with that other kind to create a recognized niche among porn viewers.
And fortunately, the statisticians over at Pornhub have delicately broken down the numbers for us to explain the how, what and—most importantly—who of weed-related Internet porn searches.
How? How do Pornhub users search for ganja-centric graphic content?
As far a basic terminology goes, “weed” is by far the most popular term used when performing marijuana-related searches. This isn’t surprising. Last year, Google released a chart displaying thefrequency of various cannabis slang terms used in American publications over the past 50 years, and “weed” was the only term increasing in use.
Following “weed” for most common search terms were “marijuana,” “pot,” “joint” and “420.”
