(Before It's News)

When 29-year-old Syrian pilot Hassan Mohamed Mahmoud ran into technical difficulties with his aircraft while flying over ISIS-controlled territory of Tel Shehab, he was able to save himself by ejecting from his plane, but rather than surrender to the jihadists that were closing in to capture him, he instead took his own life by shooting himself in the head.

In February, ISIS released a 22-minute video showing the gruesome fate that came to Muath al-Kaseasbeh, a Jordanian pilot that also crash-landed in ISIS-controlled territory. Muath al-Kaseasbeh was burned alive while trapped in a cage. After his body had succumbed to the trauma, his remains, along with the cage, were buried with a bulldozer.
