(Before It's News)

Lamar Wallace may have lived more than a century, but he shows no signs of slowing down. He recently turned 104, and was honored last month by the Boy Scouts of America for being the oldest living Eagle Scout in the country.

Wallace, who graduated from college right in the middle of the Great Depression, said he always tries to simply think about what he feels he should do in a situation before acting and that his word is “as good as any word that anybody ever gave.”

He served his country during World War II, has been married twice for more than 30 years each time and widowed two times as well. He still drives every day – while boasting a “God Bless America” bumper sticker – and even goes to church on most Sundays.

He said the secret to long life is to live in moderation… but not until after the age of 39.
