The firefly lantern

I was just sitting on the front porch breathing in the sounds and smells of the birds and frogs and ducks and geese and coyotes that make here home.
There was fireflies.
Fireflies typically show up during the month of June.
Could be early June.
Could be late June.
But they're gonna show in June, if they show at all.
That front porch reverie reminded me of the firefly lantern me and Junior fashioned up back in the day.
Catch enough of those fireflies, stuff 'em in a jar, and you've got yourself a pretty decent light source, at least till the fireflies run out of oxygen and they all die.
