This is a MUST read for those who believe the public does not care about protecting their constitutional rights. The fact is for the first time (after the Snowden document revelations) since 9/11 the public is putting their concerns about their constitutional rights over national security. The Constitutional Alliance has received the permission of SPITFIRE to make the documents provided available. There are two short documents that are less than 5 pages total (polling data that will surprise most people). A cross section of many polls was put together that is the evidence that now is the time to reach out to all people, not just activists. If you have not read our previous article “How far have we fallen in 2014? We are all being watched!” and/or shared it with everyone you know, we strongly we strongly encourage you to do so NOW. The links to the NEW polling analysis about constitutional rights versus national security are available at the bottom of this article.
The Constitutional Alliance is working very hard every day to provide other groups/organizations/individuals the information needed so that people can make informed decisions rather than educated guesses about domestic spying, the surveillance state being put in place and why biometrics is the linchpin of a surveillance state. The Constitutional Alliance is doing what it can but without groups and individuals doing their part, nothing will change. Many people are receiving the information we provide that most often is not available anywhere else but unless the information is shared with everyone each group and/or person is in contact with, the Constitutional Alliance's efforts will not be maximized.
Last night I was on the phone with congressional staff and privacy advocates. Attempts to reform the NSA this year have failed even though there is widespread public support from Republicans, Independents and Democrats. The Constitutional Alliance has been asked by many people and groups to work with all state legislatures so that state lawmakers will understand how the federal government is using states as surrogates to ensure the federal government has every person's biometrics. An effort of this magnitude requires your support regardless of what state you live in.
Yesterday I provided a link to an article about a U.N. initiative to require all school children to have smart cards with biometrics incorporated. There is currently legislation HR3398 before Congress that could be heard this week that would encourage all countries to have national ID cards that would in fact be international ID cards. I say “international” because the standards for “national” ID cards are international. If you scroll down our previous article to link #53 you can click on the link to read more about HR3398.
I cannot emphasize strongly enough that biometrics is the linchpin to a surveillance state.
A) You can know a car ran a red light but that does not tell you who is driving the car; the license plate just reveals the registered owner of the car, not necessarily the driver. B) You can know who a cell phone account owner is but that does not equate to knowing who is using the phone. C) You can see someone walking into a house but that does not tell you if it is the owner or someone else. D) You can observe people attending rallies or protests but that is far different than knowing who the people are. In each of these examples biometrics (facial recognition and voice recognition) is needed to establish the “who.”
The federal government and many state law enforcement agencies want a 24/7 digital footprint of what we each do, say, and write. This digital footprint would also include where we are at, with whom we are with, and how we got to where we are at any given time of day. Biometrics is what will make the 24/7 digital footprint a reality for all citizens. When speaking about biometrics, whether the biometric in question is your fingerprints, high resolution digital facial image for use specifically with facial recognition software, iris scans, DNA, or voice recognition: your body is your ID. CCTV cameras, smart phones and drones will all be used to “identify” you in public. There are expected to be over 10,000 drones flying over the U.S. within 5 years.
The following are the two links to the very short two PDF documents that reveal that the public is now more concerned about protecting their constitutional rights than national security. A) http://constitutionalalliance.org/xfiles/library/spitfire-NSA-polling-su… and the analysis of the polling data http://constitutionalalliance.org/xfiles/library/spitfire-NSA-polling-ov…
Now is the time for you to act. Share this article by providing everyone you are in contact with a link to the Constitutional Alliance. All people should stand tall in opposition to mandatory global biometric enrollment. Do not give the federal government the noose it needs to strangle your constitutional rights. That noose is your biometrics. Absent a warrant we should not have to provide our biometrics. The Constitutional Alliance is fighting for you. We need your financial support. No other organization focuses on biometrics in the way the Constitutional Alliance does.
Thank you,
God Bless these United States of America
